Markus Welborn, co-owner of DJ&S Enterprise of Suprise, AZ informed GreenOil-USA on 3-28-10 that one of their trucks has exceeded 94,000* plus miles on the same oil.

Markus states, " I have to admit, growing up around trucking has made me leary and skeptical abouth not changing engine oil every 12,000-15,000 miles when I came across your product at the Las Vegas truck show one year earlier. As fuel prices climbed, my brother and I looked for some way to reduce operating cost without cutting corners. After investigating many by-pass filtration units on the market, my brother and I decided upon yours. I operate a 2007 Peterbilt 379 with a 475 Accert Cat. At the time, my truck had 449,335 miles on it. I went back through my records I did a complete oil change and by-pass filter install on 8/14/2009. We were up and running, venturing into a new area...at first we were not 100% sure about the "safe" filter change intervals. It took about two months to smoo9th out the bugs and get the hang of a new process. Eventuaoly after minor trail and error we determined that the best interval to replace the by-pass filter was between 12,000 and 15,000 miles. The full flow oil filter was still good at 15,000 miles so we extended it out to 30,000 miles. With these intervals and oil sampling we are quite happy with our systems. The only abnormality in oil sampling was a higher oxidation level. If we ran the truck o0ver the 15,000 mile interval, oxidation levels were elevated, but not to a dangerous level. After nine months of operating, 5 oil samples and 94,122 miles later the filter system is running strong and on the same oil. Recently I did a complete oil change figuring I got my moneys worth out of my oil. Thanks so much GreenOil. *This is an update from the original email announcing 100,000 miles as Markus had thought he surpassed the 100,000 mile but his record record 94,000. The key to the success of their extended oil intervals as you can see is following a sound maintenance program of changing out the filter cartridge and oil sampling...the life blood of the engine.

The ABQ Fire Department ordered additonal bypass filters the week of March 29th. The plan is to equip the entire fleet and with the latest order they will have equipped over half the fleet.

Frank Lucero, Fleet Director sees bypass filtration as a means up saving the City thousands of dollars through extended oil intervals (environmental benefit too) and to help protect his engine fleet against the dangers of extensive soot buildup. Mr. Lucero knows that with the extensive idle time fire trucks have on their engines, he needed to take steps neccessary to protect his engines and oil. He had done extensive investigating of engine soot problems and believed bypass filtration would help to reduce such problems. Ernie Simmons, Technical Director at GreenOil-USA provided initial training to Mr. Lucero's mechanics and they now do all additional installs in house. Mr. Lucero plans an extensive oil analysis program to support extended oil intervals. He is anticipating good things ahead.
